One simple revelation that changes your view on the world is that everything that is not necessarily natural was designed by people, and that at one point a person or team had to painstakingly draw out and design. Humanity can achieve amazing feats when they collaborate. When photographing urban areas I love to take a step back look for where landmarks and building line up, be that accidentally or deliberately through urban planning. However, when it applies, I also greatly enjoy looking for those intricacies of design in the architecture of particular building or even specific segments of particular building that are so often overlooked.
